I liked the location on the beach. The water the room and the staff were very nice.

My first room was a bit moldy smelling. We were overcharged for airport pick up.

The staff at Monkey Island could not do enough to help us enjoy our stay and get the most out of our visit to the area. I would reccommend anyone visiting Ha Long Bay to stay at Monkey Island and we hope to stay there again in the future.

The hotel is really fantastic. It is situated on the small island which has some monkey spieces which you can visit and feed. It provides Booked.net, beach volleyball, football, billiards activities. Breakfast is a quite poor, since included in the room price, but lunch and dinner are really great (we paid 10$ for person).

Poor breakfast, missing hot water sometimes.

It was nice to be out of the busy streets of Vietnam and had nice scenery.

There was nothing to do, I wouldn't book more than 2 days there unless you want a beach holiday.

Parts under construction, loud construction noise in the morning, view was affected by it.

1/ no internet as mentionned in ur website 2/ AC did not work 3/ TV did not work 4/ food was so so and breakfast is a joke (no juice, no fruits) 4/ rooms are very dirty and nobody cleaned my room after the 1st night...5/ beach is dirty also because they dont clean the drinks from customers... This resort doesnt worth $90 !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very very upset about your offer because the reality was totally different.......

We came to the resort on Xmas day (Dec 24th) and spent one excellent night there. The manager arranged a very big party to calibrate Xmas 2011. The party started at 9h00 pm & finished at 12h00. There were about 30 persons enjoy the party (maybe more, I didn’t remember exactly). We were very happy and enjoyed a memorable night there. We danced together, cheered and sang the Xmas songs. The resort was very nice at night. The staffs were kindly and polite. The served us in a professional way. We were free to enjoy the Xmas night there (we were very surprised & happy because most hotel, normally will charge amount of money for that). The party included something like in EU’s Xmas party: roasted goose, champagne, fruit, chocolate, tea, beer….. We thought we were staying in the Europe. The resort placed a good location, far away from Cat Ba town where are very busy and crowded. The bungalows are beautiful with Vietnam traditional style. We booked & stayed at deluxe garden view. It was clean and decorated with Xmas issues made me feel like living at home. Finally, we had a perfect trip at Monkey Island Resort. I love the resort & love the staffs there. If I have chance, I will come back

The resort is in a good location (in front of the beach, near Cat Ba Island), the bungalows are nicely decorated and cleaned everyday. The staffs here are very friendly, always willing to give us their smiles. They are also professional and enthusiastic when we ask their help. Thing we like best is their breakfast buffet which is tasty and variable, they also have Vietnamese fried rice, Vietnamese noodle soup ... Coming to stay here, you are free to enjoy trekking tour to the other face of the island to visit & feed monkey and Booked.neting tour in Lan Ha Bay. It is very interesting. The resort also plays music in the lobby bar in the evening and organize night camping. I would come back here and recommend it to my family and friends

Poor service, not a proffesional staff, no aircon, no wi-fi, leaky Booked.nets, expensive tour\cruise, dirty beach, poor food and more,more..... It was a horrible experience. We were evicted without notice. When we returned from sightseeing, our things were in garbage bags at the reception.

Lan Ha Bay

Everything poor... Do not take any tour/cruise that they offer --> Quality is un-important as long as you pay!

The location is absolutely amazing. The food is a bit pricy, but tastes good. The service was excellent, as we needed a pickup from Cat Ba after all the buses to the harbour had gone. The resort was maintained really well, made a lot of effort in creating the bamboo tropical vibe.

There is a bit of a power shortage on the island. The airco didn't work as much as we needed it. No hot water was available. Do mind that the location of the resort as shown on this site is the location of the departing boat to the island and you have to call for a pickup!

Great Location and lots of activities.

Bathrooms need a refurbishment and credit card payment should be possible.

Monkey island is wild and beautiful. The atmosphere here is very good for heath. The beach is nice, the water is pure. Food is very delicious. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Bungalows are unique and special. It is very worthy to spend holiday here.

Boring unappetizing food. Food, drinks and all activities too expensive. You just have no chance to choose something different on this island.
